So, you wanna create a course, huh?

Then, you’re in the right place!

In the ‘How to Build a Course on WordPress’ course, I’m going to teach you the tools and tricks you will need to make creating your course as simple, fast, and painless as possible. BUT, please understand — THIS course is not for total WordPress newbies.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

In order to get the most out of this course and to get YOUR course setup easily and quickly, you should already have your website setup, your course curriculum lined out, your content created, and have a basic understanding of how to use WordPress.

This is a *basic* WordPress course but it is not THE basics. You should know to login to your dashboard, how to create a post and a page, how to install and activate plugins, and other simple tasks.

We are not going to talk about the basics of buying domain names, getting website hosting, installing WordPress, choosing themes or anything like that, either.

We also are not going to go over choosing a topic for your course, how to structure your course, how to name your course, or anything about creating or designing your content or your student’s experience.

So, if you don’t already have those things in place, then maybe this course isn’t for you, right now. If that’s the case, bookmark this page so you can come back when you’re ready to get down to the nitty gritty of building your course on your WP website and go get those things done first.

Now, if your website is ready to go, you do know a little bit about the mechanics of using WP, and you have the details and the content for your course ready to go, then this course will be helpful to you in going from concept to done and selling.

Here's what you'll learn:

Before You Begin

  • What you need to know before building a course
  • Special consideration: Does your LMS need a subdomain?

  • Making content downloadable

Making Sure Everything Works

  • Testing payment gateways
  • Testing student access and configuration
  • Other tests and troubleshooting

Miscellaneous Things to Consider

How This Course Works:

You'll get access to the full course as soon as you order so you can get started right away.

Each lesson consists of one or two short videos. In fact, most videos are only 5-10 minutes long. A few are slightly longer. You could totally go through the entire course, following along on your own website as you go, and build your course in a weekend!

How cool is that?

Now, listen - this course is NOT comprehensive and if you need a lot of handholding, it might not be right for you. But if you're the kind of do-it-yourselfer who can take something and run with it, then you'll feel right at home with this course.

I'm not big on fluff so I give you the low-down in simple, easy to follow directions so don't underestimate yourself! If you're familiar enough with WordPress to create posts and pages, add images and other media, I'm sure you'll be able to rock this course and build your own!

The Fine Print:

Since you get access to the whole, entire course from the get-go, there are absolutely no refunds.

This is a self-directed course, meaning that you will largely be on your own. I do not provide support for things that might happen as you go along and build your own course on your own website.

However, if you have an issue with THIS course or the DBB website, please reach out and let me know.

I don't provide support for the plugins or tools I recommend throughout this course. You will need to contact the plugin developer directly with those issues.

Please note that if I recommend a premium plugin that you purchase and you use the link I provide within the course to purchase that premium plugin, I may receive a small affiliate payment from the developer.

Yes, I am available for paid tech support should you require help. I do also offer done-for-you course building services. Please fill out the custom quote request form on the homepage to inquire.

Ready, then? Let’s rock!
