About Midnight Rebel Digital
How MRD Started
Way back in 1998 after freelancing on the side for about 3 years, Annie created her first design company. It was called Green Ink Creative Design. And over the course of about 5 years, she ran the little fledging company on the side between her day job and raising kids, doing mostly print design for a handful of local clients.
But it was evident that this "internet thing" was here to stay and Annie was fascinated by creating on web. So, in the early 2000's, she went back to school at the Art Institute and learned all about web design and development.
Around 2006, Annie heard about this little blogging platform called WordPress and quickly realized it was the way of the future and that you could create more than just blogs with it. In fact, you could design and build entire websites with it!
That was when Annie transitioned her little graphic design company into a web design company and renamed it asaMedia Design Labs, which is actually still the name of this little company however, we now do business as (dba) Midnight Rebel Digital Co.
Even though MRD is primarily a WordPress development company, we do still design print media for various projects on ocassion and we design simple logos for our clients when necessary. But for the most part, our work revolves around WordPress.
Meet our founder

Midnight Rebel Digital (or MRD) - aka asaMedia Design Labs - is owned and operated by Annie Anderson, a US Navy veteran. She has 25+ years experience as a graphic and web designer and specializes in building websites on the WordPress platform.
When she's not creating something, Annie is busy with friends or family. . . she has 4 children - 2 daughters, ages 28 and 21; and 2 sons, ages 24 and 18; plus a 7 year old grandson. Both Annie's older son and grandson are autistic. The family also consists of Annie's mom and a couple of wild and crazy cats. Although the girls both live on their own these days, they're around often to visit and hang out.
Annie enjoys music (rock, metal, jazz and more), loves going to concerts, is a huge fan of classic cars (and has owned several), and is founder of a youth empowerment organization, One Generation Peace Coalition.
